Youth - Upcoming Classes

Class Name

Join us for a fantastic 6‐9 year‐old program that gives an early start for homeschoolers. Using exciting, fun and hands‐on methods to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) students witness what it means for FUN and Learning to Collide! Students will be engaged in learning about a broad range of subjects including the physics of machines, the science of creating contraptions, the engineering involved in all things, math that can be found in the world and art as it relates to technology and science. No two class sessions are every alike ‐ this is all original curriculum created and taught by veteran homeschool moms with an affinity for STEAM... and enjoy being a bit nerdy! The teacher‐student ratio is impressive which allows your student to explore STEAM in a collaborative environment. In addition, our highly trained teen mentors are great science role models as they work with young students and share their love of all things STEAM. Whether students are problem‐solving, studying cause and effect, motion and energy or the engineering design process, they are bound to find new friends who share the common bond of being a nerd... and maybe even driving a robot!

Join us as we learn about Computer Aided Design (CAD) and specifically the powerful modeling software, DSS Solidworks. Solidworks is the premier CAD modeling program and students will be introduced to the tool, have the opportunity to create and draw in 3D Design, learn tips and solutions to common difficulties for young designers, how to simulate their product virtually and then understand what it takes to print their model with a 3D Printer using additive manufacturing! Every student will leave with their own copy of the FREE software valued at over $1,000 once they have completed the class. Solidworks skills have real‐world implications that will help young engineers and designers become leaders in innovation and find rapid career success even before they enter college!
