Class Name

Improve your Spanish skills in this total immersion language adventure. It's a great next step if you have a basic to intermediate understanding of grammar and sentence structure, but lack speaking skills, vocabulary, and confidence. Through context learning, you'll expand your use of nouns, verbs, and parts of speech. You'll also complete a Spanish presentation on your choice of topic. Note: This is not a beginning level class. Taking Spanish I and II before enrolling in this class is strongly recommended.

Considered a critical world language by agencies of the U.S. government, Arabic provides a key to understanding ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, and it connects us to 4 million Arab‐Americans, including Albuquerque's thriving refugee and university‐related populations. The course will focus on key conversational scenarios while introducing the alphabet and cultural considerations.
