All Digital Arts programs are designed to prepare students for an internship, entry-level employment or business.

Half-time to full-time students should be able to complete one master certificate in two semesters or fewer. A schedule of 12 or more classes in a semester is full-time. Six classes is half-time.

About the Multimedia Curriculum

Our Multimedia certificates allow you to combine skills from different areas. Combine graphic design with web design, or computer illustration, photographs and video with moving graphics in the creation of motion graphics. Enhance your online training knowledge by learning how to develop effective instructional media strategies. Or, in conjunction with the Online Instructor certificate, gain an understanding of how adults learn in order to facilitate the planning and development of content that will enhance the learning process. The Multimedia certificates may be customized for those of you with prior experience or with particular goals in mind.

Basic design principles are covered in course 55101 Graphic Design I. This class provides the foundation for all other Graphic Design courses. Basic understanding of computer graphics software, including an overview of raster and vector graphics, is covered in 56101 Computer Graphics: Raster and Vector Art. This class is a prerequisite to all other computer graphics classes. We recommend taking these two classes early in your curriculum.
