The Ecological Herbalism Series is a 4–part series of interdisciplinary classes that explores the relationships between people, plants, and the land. Taught from ecological, botanical, and geographical perspectives, the course aims to connect herbalists and nature lovers to the local surroundings by illuminating medicinal plants and the dynamics of the landscapes that make up central New Mexico. Each of the four classroom sessions will focus on a different habitat and the medicinal plants we find there including mesa country, the desert basin, the riparian valley, and the mountains. Discussions will include herbal actions of local plants, plant ecology, botanical curiosities, and changing plant communities. This class is taught by local herbalist and geographer Dara Saville of Albuquerque Herbalism. No prior experience is required.

Approved by the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), the Medical Transcription Editor program focuses on teaching the skills needed to work as a medical transcriptionist and medical transcription editor. Students study medical terminology, anatomy, healthcare documentation, and editing theory and technique as well as developing and practicing their typing and listening skills on hundreds of authentic, employer–provided dictations from a variety of specialties. In addition to one–on–one instructor support and personalized graduate support, Enrollment includes ten e–books, a transcription foot pedal, AHDI Book of Style e–book, and a voucher to take the RHDS exam.

The Pharmacy Technician program prepares students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam. Students study pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, nonsterile compounding, and pharmacy law, regulations, and standards as well as topics specific to working in retail or institutional pharmacies. During the training, students have the opportunity to participate in an on–site externship at a local Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, or independent pharmacy. In addition to one–on–one support from experienced instructors throughout the course and access to personalized graduate support after graduation, students receive e–books, a drug reference handbook, and a PTCB Exam voucher. The course, currently pending ASHP accreditation, connects students with an externship partner so they can fulfill graduation requirements.
