UNM Continuing Education Conference Center

The UNM Continuing Education Conference Center offers convenient accommodations for many kinds of events such as training seminars, meetings, trade shows, and graduations. The auditorium seats up to 650, and audio visual equipment is provided. Our banquet room is a perfect space for lunch meetings, and celebrations. The conference center is easliy accessible, and parking is free.

Free parking is always available for students and clients at our facility at 1634 University Blvd. NE. On heavy business days, overflow parking is available at 1642 University Blvd. NE. Because parking at other locations is not authorized by UNM, cars at other locations may be subject to be towed and fined.

Room Information

The Conference Center Auditorium

The comfortable and attractive auditorium will enliven your audience and put them at ease. There isn't a bad seat in the house. An elevated stage with a wooden floor, theater curtains, catwalk access and retractable screen backdrop commands the room. Yet the stage does not overpower or impose. The onstage presentation feels accessible and inviting to the audience. Architectural details such as tiered seating that slopes for visibility, the friendly feeling to the scale of the room, a balcony, adjustable lighting for stage and audience, and decorative columns create an uplifting and dignified setting.

Up to 650 can gather together here to share an intimate environment that accommodates discussion across the room. This is the place to make your event memorable.

Audiovisual equipment, multimedia connectivity and videoconferencing are available. The auditorium features fixed tiered seating combined with movable chairs on the floor for a degree of flexibility in the center of the space. Inquire about the needs for your event with our facility manager.


Create a signature presence in our spacious lobby with booth materials, sales inventory, refreshments or sign-in tables. Many people who host their event in our auditorium use the lobby to control entrance to their event, sign in their registrants, or hand out promotional packets. This lobby space also accommodates booths and displays in conjunction with events here. The lobby can be used to direct and interact with your attendees between sessions.

Banquet Rooms

Keep your guests energized with our versatile Banquet / Breakout room(s) featuring parquet floors and roomy interiors. A movable partition provides flexibility for a medium or large meeting space. An adjacent loading area provides convenient drive-up access for deliveries.

Host morning coffees, afternoon snacks, luncheons or fine dining for your guests. Your caterer or your choice of our catering options are available to make your event special.

This room also features a small stage with audio equipment available for presentations, entertainment or live music.

These flexible rooms at the north end of our lobby can be used for breakout activities, stand-alone meetings, or events. They can be rented alone or in conjunction with our other features as your meeting venue.

Customization options in seating, decoration, audiovisual equipment, multimedia connectivity and videoconferencing are available. Inquire with our facility manager.

Meeting Rooms & Classrooms

Our meeting rooms can accommodate small, medium or large groups. In the banquet / breakout area, a partition can be moved for large or medium meeting spaces. 

Classrooms with or without computers in the adjacent building are available contingent on our scheduled classes. The entire facility features a high speed wireless internet connection available to guests.

Any room can be rented alone or in conjunction with our other features.

Computer Labs

Our computer labs are used to teach our extensive range of computer courses—from basic introductory courses in Word, Excel, or Powerpoint to high-end multimedia graphics software and specialties in programming such as AutoCad or GIS.
