Policies

Attendance and Grading policies may vary depending on the courses taken.

In general attendance and grades are not recorded for Personal Enrichment and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Programs.

Professional Development and any classes earning certificates of completion or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) do record attendance and grades. Grades may be either complete or incomplete. Programs that issue numeric or letter grades are based on a score of 70% and above as satisfactory to completing the course.

In most cases, books and/or handouts are included with the course. If course materials or books are not included with the course, instructions for purchase will be included in the course description or are available from our registration staff. Some courses may require a separate fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Others may require that you purchase a textbook or your own art supplies.

UNM Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or combine programs, and to change instructors when necessary. If a program is canceled or rescheduled you may request a transfer to another section of the same program, another program or a refund of your enrollment fee. Each registered student will be notified by UNM Continuing Education via email about program cancellations or schedule changes. Please check your student profile to make sure your contact information is current.

Participants who attempt to register for a class that is full can add themselves to a class waitlist. Waitlists will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. When a seat becomes available, an email will be sent to the entire waitlist and the open seat will be registered based on the first response.
