Expand your knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes at UNM Continuing Education. Are you known for your dinner parties, or would you like to be? Then our cooking classes are for you. Learn new cuisines in fun and delicious lessons. Increase your culinary abilities to spice up your menus.

Our instructors are professional chefs. Most cooking classes follow a one-evening format. Practice cooking hands-on, and enjoy a great meal that you helped prepare.

Take your taste buds to Spain! In this class, you'll learn to make what's widely regarded as the Spanish national dish, Paella Valenciana, a fabulous dish of rice, seafood, and chicken. Learn how to make red and green chile sauce that will please even grandma. Green chile chicken enchiladas, pinto beans in a pressure cooker and homemade salsa will start our fiesta. Come hungry! Learn to love traditional Lasagna with our Italian food expert and entrepreneur Lucio. The course is based on a recipe which has been perfected through 30 years of practice and experimentation. You will walk through all the steps of preparing traditional lasagna; with meat and vegetable ragu, besciamelle sauce, mozzarella, and Parmigiano — no ricotta! a process that takes time and love.
