The Instructional Media Developer certificate focuses on creating rich materials for the classroom, including multimedia content for online learning. Learn production techniques for developing and building media for online courses and the Web. Learn to construct attractive, standards-based websites that are usable by people of all ability levels, with and without assistive technologies such as screen readers and video captioning software. These software systems provide a means to control the presentation of sites, as well as a database for storing site content. But CMSes vary in complexity and flexibility. Survey several popular CMSes, including WordPress, ExpressionEngine, Joomla, Drupal and Plone, as well as the popular Learning Management System (LMS), Moodle.
