This course is an introduction to producing a movie project. After an overview we will highlight individual case studies of successful productions. You look behind the scenes of how the filmmakers made these projects happen. Students also work on real world schedules, budgets and have first hand experience of what it takes to produce a movie. All Digital Arts programs are designed to prepare students for an internship, entry-level employment or business.

Half-time to full-time students should be able to complete one master certificate in two semesters or fewer.

About the Digital Photography & Filmmaking Curriculum

Our Digital Photography and Filmmaking certificate programs combine curriculum in photography and filmmaking theory and related software. As digital cameras and software become more sophisticated, so does the tendency for digital photography and filmmaking to merge. It’s not uncommon for a professional photographer to also have videography skills and vice versa.

Digital Photography Curriculum

Photography students should take 55801 Photography with a Digital Camera as early in their curriculum as possible as it is a prerequisite to all other Photography courses.
